Terrie Alfieri Photography has beautifully captured the most special moments of my life, from my wedding day to my childās first year of life. During every step of the process they have been incredibly attentive to detail and spent the time familiarizing themselves with my family and I so that the stories portrayed in the albums are genuine and uniquely our own.
If thereās one thing I know is that you can never truly plan out life. Yes, you can have the best intentions but ultimately it's how we handle what's thrown at us that helps define who we are and grow as a person. While 2020 was a tough year for all of us, having turned 30, losing a pet, finding myself newly single from a long term relationship, during a pandemic and then being diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes ended up being some real life version of Bingo I didn't sign up for. Yet little did I know, it would be that break up and diagnosis that would truly allow me to focus on myself for the first time in over a decade. I learned how to get to know myself better, was shown support from my new medical challenges in places I never expected and ultimately saw myself stronger and more confident than ever before. One of the best decisions I made during this was to have a photoshoot with Terrie! Always being behind the camera myself normally, this was an experience that initially forced me out of my comfort zone but left me feeling beautiful and excited for what was to come. Terrie was amazing both in her professionalism, incredible talent and allowed me to document this next chapter of my life.
Again, would I want to face all that again in the span of four months again, no thank you. Yet, I wouldn't change it for the world because that version of myself is the woman that was so desperately trying for years to find herself and she had no idea how amazing life was going to become.
