Testimonials
"I always felt secure knowing I had the kindest, wisest, and best therapist within reach when I needed it most. You created a safe space that allowed me to share my abuse for the first time and you were here for me from the very beginning. Truthfully I do not think I will find someone else who will understand me so well and empathize personally with my experiences. I am very grateful for the sessions we had!"
βWhen I first reached out to Carrie Ann, I was afraid for our first session. I was afraid because of how I have been judged by past therapists, and I feared that this time would surely be no different. I was wrong. Flashing forward a year, she picked me up out of a dark hole when others were content to watch me drown. Sheβs provided with a safe space to be 100% myself, without ever having fear of judgment. Iβve never had a therapist (and trust me there have been many) who has made me feel as truly valued and like a friendβ¦. not just another crazy person on the schedule. I have also never looked forward to my therapy sessions each week before and I can honestly say it is so enjoyable talking to her every week. She is always there to hear my side, to validate me, yet she finds the gentlest ways of pushing me outside my comfort zone while understanding and respecting my push back. I am so grateful to have her in my corner, and for the support she shows me no matter how I show up to therapy that day. Sheβs truly helped me grow this past year, and I look forward to continuing that growth with her guidance. I hope she never retires!β
βIβve seen many therapists since I was 23, 7 to be exact. Iβm 36 now and recently came across Carrie Ann. After years of depression, anxiety, and substance abuse resulting from an abusive relationship with a narcissist, I was finally able to break the cycle that I was stuck in for over a decade. Itβs not easy to find someone that I can trust with my vulnerability. I have a powerfully accurate BS internal meter and it DID NOT go off at all during all of the sessions that I had with Carrie Ann. She is empathetic without an ounce of pretense. She was willing to call ME out on my BS with love. I never felt any condescension or judgment. For the first time in a very long time, I actually felt like someone was listening intently to my concerns with the ability to provide insightful feedback giving me several valuable βaha!β moments. Despite having a huge ego, I was able to trust her from day one. Carrie Ann offers a refreshing amount of humanity with her therapy which is NOT the norm based on personal experience with therapy over the past decade. If you are ready to tackle your recovery with intention and action you will find an intelligent, compassionate, and intuitive ally in Carrie Ann.β
