Fresh Starts for Adult Children of Divorced Parents

One of the examples we have of what relationships are "supposed to look like" starts within our own families. Even when the child understands that it's best for everyone for parents to split, the body can still interpret this as abandonment, danger, and uncertainty. Adult children of divorced parents often face challenges of taking too much responsibility, fear of repeated patterns in their own relationships, hyper independence, and distrust.

In this workshop, we'll explore how shifts in family dynamics show up in the nervous system, emotions felt in response to the divorce, and how somatic work can support you in your current life and relationships.

A few attendees will have the chance to work directly with Madisen in the group setting, “lending their nervous system” for gentle, supportive demonstrations of somatic work in action.
