Breaking Upward is an AI-powered support tool built to fill that gap. As a sexual assault nurse examiner and nurse midwife, I built it through a trauma-informed lens, because I know what it looks like when systems fail people in crisis, and I built this to be different. It has four core tools: a triage checklist so you know where to start, a clause translator that turns legal language into plain English, a priority intake for a personalized action plan, and a "Before You Decide" tool for major moves. Private by design. No database storing your conversations, ever.
