What to say to your friend who is stepping into their truth and afraid of response

These scripts should serve as a guide for tough, trying, and tremendous life moments.

We’re here to support you in supporting your people. We’re proud of you. And we’ve got you.

Here’s what to say when you don’t know what to say.

I am so, so proud of you for living your truth. I love you so much, just exactly for who you are. I know it can be scary to share this news with others, but know that people's reactions are just that: theirs, and you cannot control them either way. Sometimes people need time to integrate information, sometimes people just can't handle reality. Either way I want to celebrate you, and your truth, and your bravery. I love you so much and am here to support you however I can.

Text these scripts, email them, leave them as a voicemail, or as the basis of a phone call or conversation in person. These scripts can be used over and over and across all platforms. We hope they help. We want to support you so that you can support your people.
