A little about Myisha…
I am a certified sexologist, dating coach, author, podcaster and educator. I am the owner of Sex for Life, LLC which is home to my coaching practice, writing and podcasts. My goal is to provide empowering sexual information, instill pride in difference, and encourage the quest for sexual satisfaction no matter a person’s race, gender, orientation, ability or age. I guide my clients, listeners and readers to embrace better sex for a better life.
As the foremost feminist sex and dating coach, I offer my clients the opportunity to explore how gender and the expectations of gender roles impact their sexual desires and experiences. I provide space for them to grow into the kind of sexual people they want to be, not who they are told they should be.
My advice and expertise has been featured in TIME, Refinery29, HuffPost, GQ, The San Francisco Chronicle, The Washington Post, and New York Magazine’s The Cut, among many others.
My book, This Is Supposed to Be Fun: How To Find Joy in Hooking Up, Settling Down, and Everything In Between is available now wherever you like to buy books. You can also hear me on KCRW's How's Your Sex Life? podcast where I give advice on all things sex and dating.

Testimonials
I was very impressed by my experience with Myisha, changes that I can take with me for my life moving forward. My relationship with my sexual self has opened up into a world of discovery and empowerment. My approach to dating is less confusing and I feel confident in the dating pool. Myisha helped me rid the shame I had deeply rooted in my belief system with her empathetic ears and knowledge in the field of sex and dating.
I had the pleasure of working with Myisha over six months, during which Myisha helped me navigate the ups and downs of a new relationship that started in the pandemic. Most importantly, Myisha helped me overcome some of my biggest inhibitions around sex—feelings that I had so deeply internalized and carried with me well into my early 30s.
Working through this discomfort wasn't easy, but Myisha always showed up to our coaching sessions with compassion—and we shared a lot of laughs in the process. I'm so grateful to Myisha for helping me find my voice when it comes to pleasure and communication in relationships. I truly see our work as the start of my journey—and there's no turning back.
I am SO glad I spent the time to work with Myisha. She was so easy to talk to and helped me enormously in redrafting my dating profile but more importantly narrowing down what I was looking for. Her tips for how to check in with myself and approach the entire dating experience turned what had become an unpleasant chore back into something I felt in control of and have enjoyed doing. I feel like I'm able to show up on dates as myself and credit the work I did with Myisha for helping me figure out just who that "self" is.
