A little about Debra
I help people understand the relationship they are leaving, so they can go through divorce with clarity, steadiness and their own voice. As a divorce consultant and relational strategist, I specialize in emotional abuse and coercive control in high conflict divorce. The patterns that shaped the marriage often follow clients into negotiations, parenting decisions, custody evaluations and settlement. I work alongside your attorney, never in place of them. I help you see what is happening clinically, get ready for hard conversations and evaluations, and build practical ways to protect yourself.
I bring more than 25 years as a licensed clinical social worker to this work, along with The ISLAND Method: A Framework for Relational Recoveryโข. I am also the author of Undertow: The ISLAND Method for Breaking Free from Love Addiction. Consulting is separate from therapy and from legal advice, and I work with clients across state lines by video.
